Two new sites were added today.

http://www.mysmallbizkudos.com and

http://www.internetmarketingvideoportal.com

Both of these sites feature “User Generated Content” and no adsense ads as of yet.  I’m going to promote these gently and see what happens before I try to monetize them.

What An Amazing USP!

Posted in Articles, Internet Marketing, Research on January 27th, 2007

I only wish I had thought of it.

In this article trashing Disney and the creator of the Baby Einstien Video franchise I spotted something that only a markerter could love…

a fantastic Unique Selling Proposition.

A hook so compelling that it’s not even aimed at the party that consumes the product or service.  (the kids)

Read thru the CHICAGO SUN-TIMES article by Debra Pickett called “Let’s cut to the real issues“  and see if you can pick it out.

I’ll post again with my comments shortlyl

Can Brightcove Solve Net Video For Marketers

Posted in Internet Marketing, Videos, Windows Media on January 25th, 2007

I’ve been a content producer, video media specifically since 1996.  That first site, weekendcrafts.com was a beast.

Real Media videos done each week, huge bandwidth costs, long production times and hour long download were the norm.

Today there might be an immediate future for video producers online.  I’m not talking about the big boys here, I’m talking about mom and pop small business owners.

The answer a company called Brightcove.  I can across this interesting article that might put things into perspective for you.

Can Brightcove Solve Net Video

I’ve been a Brightcove client for a couple of months now, they do a couple of things remarkably well…. and a couple that frustrate me to no end.  Take a look and see if their business fits into your business.

Forgot to mention this one….

HYPEBUSTING: Against widgets

Posted in Blogging, Internet Marketing, Research, Trends on January 20th, 2007

My last post contained a “Widget”.  Check it out if you aren’t quite sure what a widget is…

So what!

That’s the problem with widgets.  A cool piece of technology that doesn’t answer the key question every marketer should ask.

So What?  Does this marketing effort earn me any money?  If you can figure out a way to earn money with widgets I’m all ears.  Until then I’ll take the side of the author of this article: HYPEBUSTING: Against widgets  which was posted on the ValleyWag Site.

Here’s a Widget!
