How Not To Name Your Squeeze Page

Posted in Affiliate, Internet Marketing, Traffic on November 30th, 2006

I rec’d a link to a 70 minute audio interview, something I was interested so I clicked the link.

Here is is if you want to see it.  - > Link to How To DOUBLE Your Business

This is an affiliate page for Perry Marshall of Adwords fame.  What interests me most about this page isn’t the content it’s the URL naming of the page that the first time visitor is being sent to.

Take a look now and you’ll see the squeeze page named….

Audio Squeeze Page.htm

how do you think that makes your NEW prospective customer feel?  Yes you’ll remember the page when and so will your visitor as they imagine themselves being squeezed.

Name your pages correctly for the client not for you!

Fishkin was a speaker at the Viral Marketing Session and he dropped this gem of knowledge - stories and articles that make it to the front page of Digg receive an average of 2000 new links in 2 weeks…

…And that, my friends, is reason enough to continue focusing your content at the social bookmarking community.

How Is Skype Going to Make Any Money?

Posted in Internet Marketing on November 28th, 2006

I just finished another free long distance call using my Skype client.

I even recorded the call with Total Recorder, a great windows utility that allows you to record sounds from your PC that normally require additional hardware.

While on the call I glanced down to see the Skype numbers… over 6 million users logged in.

All Free Users!

While skype has a large potential revenue stream with these 6 million users, I’m not quite sure that they know how they are going to convert these users into Paying customers.

With IE7 installed I’ve been looking for a replacement to my favorite Firefox plugin - Deepest Sender!

This is the first post, with the software that installs on your PC.  I’m hoping it will allow me to post from a webpage.

You’ll find out shortly.
